OIL, FILTER, LUBE AND VEHICLE INSPECTION PRICE COMPARISONS

Woodhouse's everyday price is $26.95 plus tax for a total of $28.06 for up to 5 quarts of oil and $2.00 per quart for any additional over 5 quarts. The price is the same whether it's a 2-wheel or a 4-wheel drive vehicle. It also includes topping off all fluid levels as well as a lubrication service and vehicle inspection. Our oil change includes a factory oil filter and here's the oil that we use: Motorcraft Premium Synthetic-Blend Motor Oil or Mopar Synthetic-Blend Motor Oil.

So how do we compare?

Jiffy Lube charges vary depending on the store location and what time of the day it is. The normal price is $24.99 for regular non-synthetic Conoco oil plus $2.00 for shop charges plus tax totaling about $28.00. If you want synthetic blended oil, add an additional $12.00 for a total of $40.00. The oil filter is a non-factory filter.

Jensen Tire charges $23.35 for up to 5qts of oil and $2.50 for any additional quart. That includes tax and environmental charges. They use Valvoline oil (non-synthetic) with a non-factory filter. If you want the Synthetic-Blend oil the price is $32.62.

Walmart charges $39.97 for Synthetic oil up to 5 quarts. They charge additional for over 5 quarts. If you want non-Synthetic oil, the price starts at $16.44 plus tax depending on the type of oil used. Vehicle inspections are not included in the normal oil change price. Walmart uses Super Tech Oil or Pennzoil and non-factory oil filters.
